Living Text
The initial focus of this exploration was to give typography a place to live outside of the typical applications we see day to day. In order to strike a balance between the environment the text would live in and what the actual text would say, I focused on places that were meaningful to me. The text reads: A PIECE OF ME LIVES HERE. Silkscreened on fabric, myself and a friend photographed the piece in the chosen environments.

Second Iteration
While my initial idea expressed my vision, it began to feel obvious and boring. For the second portion of this exploration I wanted to showcase conversations sent through text messages, and the environments where these conversations took place. Using text bubbles as the typography interacting in the environment instead of a specifically chosen quote helped translate my idea in a more casual way, which feels more effective and relatable. I hope to further this exploration by creating a photographic library of different environments filled with these text conversations, in hopes that they can create deeper meaning to the quick text messages that we send on a daily basis.
